The past couple of weeks have brought unfortunate events to our neighborhood and the surrounding areas. As we head into a holiday week, now is an important time to think about ways that we can give back to our community. As many are already involved with helping those in need, here are a couple of other ways to assist:

Donate blood to those who are critically in need

To find a blood drive or donation center near you, visit bit.ly/find-a-blood-drive.

Donate money to Hill, Woolsey and Camp fires and Borderline victims

The Ventura County Community Foundation is raising funds to go directly to the victims of the recent tragic events. To donate, visit bit.ly/LIV-for-VCCF.

Support the Ventura County Humane Society by donating time, money, and/or animal supplies

Visit the Ventura County Humane Society in person at 402 Bryant St, Ojai or online at bit.ly/LIV-for-HSVC.

Support Baby2Baby, who is assisting the children displaced by the Hill, Woolsey and Camp fires

Baby2Baby is asking for help purchasing any items off of their active registry: tgt.gifts/Baby2BabyCAFires2018.

Offer your guest house or second home to fire victims for free on Airbnb

For more information on how you can offer your home temporarily visit bit.ly/LIV-for-Airbnb-fire-relief.

Support the first responders
