Elizabeth, can you tell us about your journey into real estate?
“Absolutely! My entry into real estate was a natural progression from running my own estate sale company for over ten years. Working closely with various Realtors® really highlighted my potential in this field. One Realtor® who consistently noticed my work ethic, dependability, and personable nature was Nora Davis. After I passed my real estate exam, joining Nora to form The Davis Group felt like the perfect step forward. My background in psychology and art has been incredibly beneficial in understanding clients’ needs and helping them envision their ideal home.”
What initially drew you to the real estate industry?
I was drawn to real estate after witnessing how much of an impact Realtors® made in lives of their clients through real estate transactions. Also, my own personal experience of buying a home inspired me to help others achieve that same happiness and satisfaction. It is truly rewarding to be able to help guide clients through one of the most significant life transitions.

What trends are you currently observing in the real estate market?
The shift towards a more digital marketplace is quite exciting. Virtual tours, three-dimensional staging, and the growth of AI in property previews are changing how we interact with spaces. It’s crucial to adapt to these technologies to meet the needs of younger, digitally-savvy clients who start their home searches online.
How do you incorporate your community knowledge into your real estate practice?
As the third generation of my family to grow up in the Ojai Valley, I bring an intimate understanding of this community to every client interaction. My lifelong residence here, coupled with the experience of raising my own family in Ojai, has equipped me with profound local knowledge. I ensure that my clients not only find the right home but also receive insight into our community and the myriad opportunities available. This inherent approach guarantees that every transaction not only enriches my clients’ lives but also seamlessly integrates them into the fabric of our community and culture.

What motivates you daily in your work?
My clients are my biggest motivation. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of helping someone find their new home or sell their property. Keeping in touch with my clients after the sale and seeing them thrive in their new environments is incredibly fulfilling.

Beyond real estate, what are your passions?
Beyond my professional life, I deeply cherish the moments I spend with my family. Much of our spare time is dedicated to supporting our children in their sports and various interests. We also love being outdoors—whether it’s camping, kayaking, fishing, hiking, or simply relaxing at the beach and our local water spots. At home, I find joy in gardening and raising chickens. Additionally, I’m actively involved in our community through volunteering on multiple councils, which allows me to give back and contribute to the place we call home.
What do you love most about living and working in Ojai?
Ojai is not just a place; it’s a community. The small-town feel where everyone knows each other and genuinely cares is irreplaceable. It’s this authenticity and the natural beauty of our surroundings that make Ojai truly a special place to live and work.
